Bioindicators

Dr. Shaw Bamber, a scientist with extensive experience using the CAPMON system, explains the basis for Global Heartbeat’s use of aquatic organisms as bioindicators.   Dr. Bamber also discusses advantages and challenges of biomonitoring systems; the physical, chemical and biological variables of these systems; and the value of studying heart rates in crabs, mussels, and other aquatic organisms.(Bioindicators Presentation).
