HMS Challenger - Ocean Exploration Then, Now and the Future. ( http://www.coexploration.org/hmschallenger ) This two year project was funded by NOAA's Office of Ocean Exploration ( http://www.oceanexplorer.noaa.gov ) and has developed a number of education web sites, products, and online collaborative learning activities. An online workshop on ocean exploration was one of the outcomes. http://www.coexploration.org/oe2004

Ocean Literacy ( http://www.coexploration.org/oceanliteracy ) We began working on this topic by supporting the National Geographic Society efforts to bring ocean content to geography standards and the scope and sequence. A three week workshop was organized in 2002. In 2004 NGS funded a two week workshop and related activities that we organized and managed along with NOAA's Office of Sustainability and Education and Oceans for Life at the National Geographic. Since then the we have self funded subsequent work and support of this important project. We will continue to support this and also seek opportunities for related projects and educational activities.
