Evaluation and Assessment Programs
Program, Project, Course Evaluation. Throughout our 15 year history we have had a strong evaluation program. We always include formative and summative evaluation plans in all our own projects. The evaluation and assessment program is led by Dr. Tina Bishop.
Evaluating the College of Exploration Pedagogy and Technology. We have two Ph.Ds. written about the technology and pedagoy we use. We also have a number of reports on our work. We have included links to most of them here.
The evaluation team includes Drs William Bragg and Virginia Little, both of whom completed their Ph.Ds studying the online learning approach and technology we use at the College of Exploration. We now have a third Ph.D in preparation on our approach by Chris Luketic, a student at Virginia Tech and a member of our evaluation team.
Dr. William Bragg is the College of Exploration Virtual Campus Director. His dissertation from George Mason University in Virginia in 1999 was a study of the work we do at the College of Exploration. His Ph.D is titled: "Constructivist Learning and Web-Based Computer Conferencing: Qualitative Analysis of Online Interaction among Graduate Students".
Dr. Virginia Little has led the Beat Street program here on the College of Exploration virtual campus for over 10 years. Her Ph.d is titled "Design Implementation and Assessment of an Online Writing Program for Multi-Age Students, Grades 4-12".

Evaluation and Assessment Services. The team has completed a number of evaluation and assessment studies for other organizations and programs.
