Project Ocean Steward 2000 is an online expedition for teachers bringing explorers, scientists and teachers together for four weeks of online learning about the oceans and data. Activities are web-based. Bring your browser!

One graduate credit hour will be available from the California State University, Fullerton.

Teachers will be expected to participate online for  5 hours a week:
-Listen to Keynotes, ask questions: 1-1 1/2 hours per week
-Dialogue with other teachers/break out sessions: 1-1 1/2 hours
-Explore web links:  1 hour
-Do a Keynote related activity:  1-2 hours

To join the workshop teachers will need
-To be familiar with the web
-Have a basic knowledge of oceanography terminology.
-An internet connection & computer with Netscape or IE browser ver. 4.0.
-Apply through one of the partner organizations and complete an application form to participate
