Participants in the Water in the Solar System workshop will have the opportunity to earn one semester hour of graduate credit through enrollment in the University System of Maryland's Bowie State University's EDUC 505-Recent Issues in Education. EDC 505, offered through the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) Professional Development Program (PDP)-International, is designed to enable educators to update their credentials with new knowledge and skills; it is also a required course for the Bowie State University online master's degrees in: (1) secondary education: curriculum specialist and (2) school administration and supervision.

Costs:  $105 for one graduate credit plus a one-time registration fee of $35.

Requirements:
1) Regular participation in the online dialogue for the workshop period
2)Completion of a project that includes a detailed lesson plan or other classroom resources and materials related to the workshop theme. Project must be completed by December 15, 1999.
3) A summary evaluation of participation in the online workshop
