Introduction:

I was born in Cuba and imigrated to this country in 1961. For my undergraduate work I went to the University of Miami where I finished my BS in Physics. I then went to the University of Rhode Island and finished my degree in Physical Oceanography. After that I came to California and
have been at JPL since then. In the meantime I finished my
PHD in Geological Sciences at USC. My research interests have concentrated on using satellite observations to measure sea level and sea surface temperature changes in the world ocean.
