This is the TEST!
So how do you feel you did in mapping El-Niño?
After the first try you probably got a feel for reading NOAA’s computer generated SST maps.
If you had the opportunity to create several of these maps you will begin to see how the plume of warm water begins to extend further across the equatorial Pacific ocean. In fact, this water is literally sloshing back from the western Pacific.
I have provided you with a page for each month featuring the Climatology and Monthly Mean maps with the NOAA SST Anomaly map on the bottom. I recommend posting your maps in chronological order on a wall and preceding one by one, compare the quality of your mapping skills as well as the changes in ocean conditions.
