Welcome to the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and National Geographic Oceans for Life 2006 Virtual Teacher Workshops
Beginning on October 9, 2006, the College of Exploration will host a series of virtual teacher workshops on the topic of ocean exploration. The series is divided into two workshops, 2 weeks for each. We hope to bring exciting ocean science related topics to your classroom.
This project is funded by a grant from the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation to the National Geographic Society. This project also benefits from support and partnership between NOAA's Office of Ocean Exploration, the National Geographic Education Foundation, The National Marine Sanctuary Program, the University of Southern California Sea Grant and California State University at Fullerton.
Gain valuable information firsthand from the scientists, and insights into their leading edge ocean-related research - and bring this back to your classroom and inspire your students! As well, each presentation will be linked to National Science Standards , as well as to the Oceans for Life matrix.
These virtual teacher workshops are open to all educators. Resources included access to research findings, lesson plans, links to news stories, magazine articles, video clips, and Internet links. |
