Overview of this online workshop
COSEE-West invites you to meet and interact with the scientists, administrators and stakeholders engaged in the policy and science of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and the Marine Life Protection Act Initiative (MLPA) in our Spring 2009 workshop. Topics to be covered will include the science behind MPAs, policy and the process of the MLPA..

Our keynote presentations, resources, lesson plans and discussion rooms provide participants with the tools and background necessary to educate the next generation to inherit our troubled planet.

Our three-week workshop is free, (unless you are taking it for graduate credit) available 24 hours a day/seven days a week and can also be completed for graduate credit from California State University, Fullerton.

Graduate Credit
One unit of graduate credit is available from California State University Fullerton. You must submit your registration form, along with payment, via POSTAL MAIL. They DO NOT accept faxes anymore. There is a $90.00 (US) registration fee..
