Emerging Insights

This section provides a description of the patterns and themes that emerged during data analysis. There are three parts, and these will help portray a more complete picture of the online interaction. Even with the use of theory to help inform data collection and data analysis, this study allowed for the emergence of significant insights under the following areas:

(1) development of further research questions;

(2) development of approaches to data exploration and data analysis; and,

(3) observation of patterns, themes, ideas, and issues that were important to the students and significant in general.
