Summary

In summary, this online course was a highly interactive educational experience. The overall atmosphere of the online activity of this course was academic and professional, yet contained lots of social savvy. These students conducted themselves as professionals consistently throughout the course, and were also fairly open with their emotions and opinions. There was frequent reflection, philosophizing, and articulation of ideas. Many topics and issues, both academic and non-academic, stimulated lively discussion and debate. The atmosphere of the online learning experience had a very prominent social aspect that not only showed up in the area designated for social interaction, but also was threaded throughout the conversations with great frequency. This stimulated friendly interaction as well as professional collegiality. Overall, the online experience for this particular course was full of lively dialogue that was always respectful and professional, and seemed to have a fair amount of fun and humor.
